Core Advantages

Smart Soldering

Uniform smart soldering increases the power and efficiency of the module, and improves the power load capacity.

Optimized Module Size

Large-format modules with M10 wafer size use dual-glass and frame packaging to ensure module strength.

Smart Module Packaging and Logistics

Smart module packaging solutions are used to achieve high reliability, low-cost transportation and logistics.

Optimized Electrical Parameters

The working current is about 13A, which is perfectly adapted to mainstream string inverters.

Gallium-doped Technology

Large-format modules with M10 wafer size use dual-glass and frame packaging to ensure module strength.

Bifacial Energy Yield

Additional power generation from the backside of bifacial modules increases the overall energy yield, which has been verified by customers and third-party testing organizations.

FAQs

What are GRW's module products and what applications are they suited for?

GRW Solar has two series of solar module products: GRW-MO 5, GRW-MO X6 and each series contains bifacial and monofacial module. GRW-MO 5 is mainly for large ground-mount power plants.

Because of its high power rating and efficiency, GRW-MO 5 can be more cost-effective in terms of BOS. GRW-MO 5 can increase the power of a single string and thus increase the plant’s DC:AC ratio when using string inverters, which can reduce the cost of electrical equipment and thus reduce the LCOE. In addition, GRW-MO 5 can reduce the cost of module logistics due to its higher utilization of container space.

GRW Solar analyzed various boundary conditions involved in module manufacturing and system applications, from production feasibility, module reliability, application compatibility to transportation and manual installation, and finally determined that 182 mm silicon wafers and modules were the best configuration for large-format modules. We believe that the size of a 182 mm module does not have major mechanical load and reliability consequences, Further size increasing of module will not bring value in manufacturing cost or system cost reduction, but increase reliability risks.During transportation, the 182 mm module can maximize the use of shipping containers and reduce transportation costs. We believe that the size of a 182 mm module does not have major mechanical load and reliability consequences, and any increase in module size may bring reliability risks.

Bifacial modules are slightly more expensive than monofacial modules, but can generate more power under the right conditions. When the rear side of the module is not blocked, the light received by the rear side of the bifacial module can significantly improve energy yield. In addition, the glass-glass encapsulation structure of the bifacial module has better resistance to environmental erosion by water vapor, salt-air fog, etc. Monofacial modules are more suitable for installations in mountainous regions and distributed generation rooftop applications.

GRW Solar took the lead in working with domestic and foreign institutions and customers to carry out empirical testing of bifacial modules for PV power plants, systematically studying the power generation mechanisms of bifacial modules. GRW Solar also leads the industry in bifacial module shipments, while providing customers with reference data and technical support.
